Disappointed With Your Christmas Gift? Tell Tiger Radler About It

Something's up from Tiger Radler this Christmas. It’s Christmas … fa la la la la la la! Your gift is ready and it is nicely wrapped up with a little ribbon on top. “They will love it,” you think to yourself because your meticulous thought process worked overtime in ensuring this gift will be THE. BEST. PRESENT. EVER!

So the gift exchange takes place. The tech toy of the decade that you ordered from abroad leaves your good hands and into theirs. In its place, you get … (wait for it) … a bar of handmade soap they bought from a flea market; yesterday! Alas, it is still the thought that counts, so you smile and thank them.

If you end up in a similar situation and are pouting this X’mas, Tiger Radler would like to twist that frown upside down so you may have yourself a merry little Christmas. How? Simply take a picture of the gift that has you moping, upload it to the www.merrytwistmas.com mobile site with a short description, and voila, you could be one of the 500 selected to receive a six-can pack of Tiger Radler.

And oh, all posts will be submitted anonymously, so upload away from now until Jan 10, 2016.
To ensure your gift doesn’t end up in the pool of disappointments, Tiger Radler has a few tips on deciding what to buy for a specific someone.
Significant other

This should be easy, right? Since you know their likes and dislikes, well you should anyway. But if you do not – observe. Monitor their recent hobbies and interests. Perhaps, he loves fishing and his rod needs replacing? Or is she talking endlessly about the brand new designer handbag? Take a hint!

Colleagues or bosses

Probably not the easiest, and you end up being Secret Santa for Alice from accounting. Who the ho ho ho is Alice?! Again, observation is key. Observe, not stalk. Have a glance at her work station. What’s missing there? Perhaps, a photo frame with some inspirational quotes, or a plant? Get something to enhance the look of her desk or room. Who knows? She could love your gift and the both of you could end up being best buds.

Parents

Toughest crowd. Must not disappoint the folks. Well, it’s time to pay it forward. Treat mommy to a spa or take daddy on a guy’s only vacay. Or you could try the observing tool once again and see what they need. Or hey, talk to them and try to figure out their wants; wouldn’t hurt.

These are just suggestions. Ultimately, the best way to determine the best gift for anyone is to observe them thoroughly. After all, it is time for celebration, no harm in taking some time to get to know the people in our lives better.

Happy Holidays and Merry Twistmas!

For lucky Carlsberg consumers, 2015 is proving to be a lucrative start as seven potential millionaires sailed smoothly into an unexpected windfall of cash prizes worth RM13,888 each thanks to the brand’s Chinese New Year promotion

This definitely marks a smooth start to the Year of the Sheep for the seven finalists as they now gear up to compete against 31 other ‘Carlsberg Millionaire’ hopefuls to take home RM1 million in cash come March.

Among the seven was Chooi Siew Pan, 39, hailing from Perak, who said, “I have been a supporter of the brand in Malaysia for over 10 years and that’s why I am grateful to Carlsberg for giving me a smooth beginning to the year with this cash prize! Carlsberg is always a part of every gathering with my friends and this has really helped us develop a strong bond. For sure, I am sharing this special ang pow and good fortune with them.”

Lee Yong Keong, 43, a Selangor resident, said, “What’s most important for me is for my business to run smoothly and generate as much income as possible! To have won the RM13,888 cash prize means I can definitely look forward to better times in the Year of the Sheep, which will be even greater if I end up winning the one million Ringgit!”

Thirty-seven-year-old Tan Kim Guan from Malacca also has hopes for a smoother year ahead. He said, “I won this when I was out with friends and I was very surprised to receive such good luck! For me, a good lunar year would be for my friends and family to enjoy a healthier life and for myself to have more than sufficient earnings. This cash prize will be shared with them all and I plan to also give back to charity.”

Wong See Min, 40, also from Perak, said, “I have been a Carlsberg supporter for as long as I can remember and this is my second time winning great prizes. Previously, I also participated in Carlsberg’s ‘Are You Fan Enough?’ contest which won me a trip to Europe to catch the semi-finals of the Euro 2012! I seem to get lucky when drinking Carlsberg and hopefully this time round Carlsberg will give me a smooth year by making me its first millionaire!”

The quirky and unique TVC will be aired on four free-to-air television channels and 12 Astro channels. To celebrate this, a total of 7 units iPhone 6 will be exclusively up for grabs from February 1st to 7th, 2015. During this period, LINE will be selecting one newly registered user at random each day for 7 days. Details of the promotion and winners will be announced via the LINE Malaysia Official Account. It is indeed that simple to win!

A real-time competition game with unpredictable elements each round, LINE Let’s Get Rich brings back the nostalgia of our childhood board games. This online board game features a multiple player gameplay of four with a simple objective – invest in real estate around the world and compete to earn the highest amount of total capital.

LINE Let’s Get Rich

There are three ways for players to conquer and win the game. Firstly, a “Triple Monopoly” occurs if a player achieves three “Colour Monopolies” by owning all the properties of three different colours. A “Line Monopoly” will result in victory if a player owns all the properties in a single row. Finally, players can win through a “Tourism Monopoly” as well if they manage to acquire all the tourist locations. The game will also be determined if any players run out of resources during the game, or until turns or time is over, with the player rankings being decided by the total amount of resources owned by each player.

LINE Let’s Get Rich offers a variety of modes, such as single play and multiplayer competitive modes. Players can choose to either compete or cooperate with friends and family they are connected to through LINE, individually or in 2-on-2 teams.

An email just popped up in my inbox a couple of days back, one of the many humanitarian efforts by good hearted folks and corporations in light of the flood tragedy that befell our country recently. In responding to the call of ‘Humanitarian Aid for Flood Victims’ by Kuala Lumpur City Hall over the flood that has displaced more than 250,000 people in several states within the Peninsular Malaysia,
