New Year's Eve @ That Little Wine Bar

If the world does end in 2012, then for goodness sake conclude life over dinner at That Little Wine Bar with intimate friends, reminiscing over pleasurable years and less appetizing ones, maybe even finally propose to that person you’ve longed for seated right next to you! What have you got to lose? If she says yes, fantastic, if not, a selection of wines will be ready to console you. Just do it before the clocks strike twelve.

A non-believer you say? Well you can still be assured of a fine meal with us regardless of what the future holds. Worlds may end and new ones may emerge but epicureans can always fall back on old-world culinary finesse practiced by Chef Tommes and his team. We’re no apocalyptic soothsayers either, so we’ve come up with a special menu to celebrate in glory the transition of one brilliant year to another.

Yuletide Festivities At Hartamas Shopping Centre

Popular suburban mall, Hartamas Shopping Centre at Plaza Damas, is all set for a spectacular festive season. Regardless of age or interest, Hartamas Shopping Centre promises something for everyone. This festive season, bringing together Christmas and New Year, offers a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends, or to reconnect with people we have not seen for a while. With a festive season all about colour, cheer, and coming together, what better place than Hartamas Shopping Centre to liven up all of these.

Kick-starting our festive season is something special by kids. Twenty, seven foot tall Christmas trees, decorated by the wonderful kids of Krista Education, will be on display from 2-11 December. Themed, “Christmas of the Future”, these twenty trees represent the hopes and dreams of our next generation, looking at Christmas through their eyes. Following ten days of display, the trees will be donated to orphanages and old folks homes around KL, in order to share the Ch…

50 Foot Dandelion Arrives In Asia For Heineken Thirst 2012

Wish, a 50 foot LED dandelion has arrived at Sepang International Circuit right on the heels of Malaysia’s premier electronic music festival, Heineken Thirst happening this 8 December.

Installation of the towering structure is in progress & will be ready for its Asian debut. Already a favourite at international music festivals like Coachella Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival and Nocturnal Wonderland, the 50 foot high Wish will be a sight to behold this Saturday.

Designed by San Francisco public art conceptualist Robert James, Wish consists of ‘three contemporary dandelions that are losing their seeds in the wind’. Clad in aluminium leaves and mirrored glass, the structure is edged with pulsating LEDs that react to the beats of music surrounding it.

“Wish is a figurative sculpture of three dandelions losing their seeds in the wind. As a child, I was always told when you held a dandelion and blew the seeds off, that a wish was to be made. Building it from ground up for the first tim…
